The ET7 is the first production car to feature karuun® – an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic – in its interior. In addition to the technical properties required in automotive applications, the nature tech material made out of rattan also offers unique social and environmental benefits: rattan relies on the biodiversity of the rainforests in Indonesia. The raw material is harvested manually without machines and then processed on-site using a patented method into the nature tech material karuun®.
